Meet The Rejoin EU Party

Supporting Pro-EU Candidates across the United Kingdom
1.What are our aims?

For the United Kingdom on Great Britain and Northern Ireland to return to the European Union as a whole or in parts.

2. What are your party policies?
1. To rejoin the EU
2. To oppose discrimination towards individuals based on sex, race, gender, sexual orientation or disability
3. That’s it,

3. How can I become a member?
We are not a membership organisation. If you wish to stand as a candidate for election, you may ask to do so at no cost to yourself as long as you sign the party pledge, which is basically to uphold the 2 policies above.

All Our Policies

Rejoin The EU

Our problems are global in nature, not local and until we start re-engaging with the world we can only ever get partial solutions.

Oppose bigotry and intolerance

We can never be a truly whole society whilst individuals are persecuted for who they are. We WON’T tolerate that in the Rejoin EU Party.

That’s IT!

Our candidates are only bound by these two policies, but can be free to express whatever views they wish on other issues. People who stand for the Rejoin EU Party will engage freely in any other debates within elections they wish.

The majority of Londoner’s didn’t vote to leave the EU, and whichever party they normally supported, many of them like me have been left feeling politically homeless

Ben Rend

Underhill ward

Ben Rend is the candidate of the Rejoin EU Party in the ward of Underhill. Ben first came to the UK as an asylum seeker in the mid 90s and has seen first hand what it’s like being on the receiving end of Britain’s immigration policies. Having watched his former country of Yugoslavia degenerate into xenophobic hatred, he is determined not to stand by idly and watch the same happen here. Ben has not been a member of a UK political party and believes they have all fallen far below the standards a civilised democratic society should muster.

Ben works as a director of audio visual resources for a small London based training company, as well as being a home maker. He previously stood for the London Assembly election in 2021.

Ben believes that the local elections of 2022 are an opportunity not just to oppose Boris Johnson’s unprincipled government but to draw attention to its most catastrophic policy, namely Brexit. Brexit is not working and can never work.

Richard Hewison

Leader of Rejoin EU Party &
High Barnet ward

Richard Hewison is the candidate of the Rejoin EU Party in the ward of High Barnet. Richard has formerly been a member of three major political parties : Labour, the Lib Dems and the Greens but now acts as leader of the Rejoin EU Party due to his disappointment at no effective opposition action from any of his previous political homes. Richard stood for mayor of London last year as well as being a candidate for the London Assembly and the Bexley by election.

In his professional life Richard works as a trainer in the financial sector of London and has previously worked for the National Audit Office, as well as spending time seconded to the UN.

Richard believes that the local elections of 2022 are an opportunity not just to oppose Boris Johnson’s unprincipled government but to draw attention to its most catastrophic policy, namely Brexit. Brexit is not working and can never work.

Brendan Donnelly

Totteridge and Woodside Ward

Brendan Donnelly is the candidate of the Rejoin EU Party in the ward of Totteridge and Woodside. Brendan is a former Conservative Member of the European Parliament, who left the Conservative Party in 1999 in protest against its anti-European policies. Since then then he has stood in the European Elections of 1999,2009 and 2014, always for pro-European parties.

Before entering politics, Brendan Donnelly worked as an official in the Foreign Office, the European Parliament and the European Commission. He now runs a pro-European think tank and has written widely about the European Union, Brexit and federalism.

Brendan believes that the local elections of 2022 are an opportunity not just to oppose Boris Johnson’s unprincipled government but to draw attention to its most catastrophic policy, namely Brexit. Brexit is not working and and can never work.
