| Appeal for candidates for a council by-election in Canterbury Canterbury City Council is holding a council ward by-election in Wincheap ward on Thursday November 13 and we’re seeking a candidate to stand in it. To be eligible, you need to live/be registered to vote in the area covered by the council, although you don’t need to live in the ward in which the election is taking place. We can offer help/advice to register by the nomination deadline (Friday October 17 at 4pm) if we have someone prepared to stand. If you’re interested or know someone who might be, please let us know by emailing us at admin@therejoineuparty.com ASAP.
